This role reports to the Assistant Financial Controller and is part of the development of the UK Finance team based in Lisbon, providing accounting support our client. This role requires some technical accounting skills combined with strong interpersonal skills to influence both accountants and line managers in Lisbon and the UK. A high level of English language skills is required to resolve issues effectively with colleagues based in the UK. Descrição/Funções: Accounting – 70% • Prepare journal by bringing together various reports, reformatting data and reconciling in excel. • Post journals in Oracle Accounts system. • Reconciliation between source underwriting systems and Oracle financials. • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and ensure all controls are maintained and any differences investigated. • Responsible for bank reconciliations, follow up and resolution of those open items. Reporting – 10% • Prepare, review and distribute various reports. Team Support – 20% • Provide back-up to Agency Financial Accountant for various month-end processes. • Assist in ad hoc reports and projects as required Requisitos: Required: • A degree in accounting • Experience of working in accounting, in a professional high quality corporate environment • Good PC skills, particularly Excel (you should be comfortable using and developing financial formulae) Preferable • Experience in Oracle Oferece-se: Outsourcing contract for a 2-month project.
