Portuguese-American teacher with Translation degree teaches European Portuguese to speakers of other languages. (I speak English, French and Spanish). If you want/need to improve your Portuguese, I am a Portuguese teacher who lived in the USA for over 20 years and who has ample experience in teaching languages. I tailor my lessons to the student's needs, but I always make sure that there is an element of practicality and fun. Being a translator, I like to focus on grammar, understanding of written passages, role-playing, flash-card games... I have a Proficiency Certificate from University of Cambridge and a Translation Degree from ISLA (Lisbon). I also have the Certificado de Competncias Pedadaggicas (CCP) for teachers. I teach online and can teach face-to-face in the area of Oeiras/Carcavelos. I charge $12/hour for one person; $14/hour for two people. Each lesson would last 60 minutes; I teach from early morning to 9pm, depending on the day.
