Uma mulher de olhar penetrante observa o espectador mas o seu rosto aparece disfarçado no meio dos restantes elementos. A sua presença é muito forte pelo olhar mas ela está camuflada. Este projecto nasce de uma paixão pelo universo da ilustração com colagens. É um tipo de registo cru e espontâneo, que permite ilimitadas possibilidades de experimentação no que diz respeito à descontrução e (re)construção da imagem. Os fragmentos são recortados e descontextualizados e, quando inseridos noutro contexto, transfiguram-se. É neste jogo que reside a beleza da colagem. Os fragmentos provenientes de diferentes contextos juntam-se a outros fragmentos no jogo das experimentações, formando figuras que, no seu conjunto, criam a história. Os grafismos Pop Art e Vintage são uma grande influência. Escolhi o nome glueglue para o projecto por me transportar para o universo infantil das colagens. Estas composições têm direitos de autor reservados a Maria João Faustino. São feitas com ilustração e colagem. Embora haja colagens manuais, as composições são feitas na sua maioria em suporte digital. São impressas em alta resolução com tintas de longa durabilidade em tela de artista matte ou papel fotográfico e assinadas. Estão preparadas para vários tamanhos. As telas já têm estrutura em madeira, grade de pinho de 4cm de espessura e acabamento no verso com fita craft. Sou licenciada em Design de Comunicação pela Faculdade de Belas-Artes de Lisboa. Trabalho na área há cerca de 15 anos e há 8 comecei a desenvolver este projecto.
