Locally infected wounds contain: bacteria, devitalized tissue, exudate, biofilm and necrotic tissue. To effectively combat local infection, a combined antimicrobial and cleaning action is necessary to remove all components that may limit the action of silver ions. UrgoClean Ag is the only silver dressing composed of two unique technologies, clinically proven in randomized controlled trials (RCT), with a synergistic action to combat local infection:antimicrobial and complete cleaning. Benefits: - It reduces the bacterial load inside the wound and keeps the wound clean of exudate, devitalized tissue and bacterial residues. - Combats local infection and avoids complications. - Painless dressing removal - Good tolerance and comfortable Indication: UrgoClean Ag is indicated for the local treatment of chronic exudative ulcers (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers) and acute ulcers (burns, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds) with risk or signs of local infection, from the debridement phase. Instructions for use: Before applying the dressing, clean the wound with a saline solution. Remove the protective tabs. Apply the micro-adhesive part of UrgoClean Ag over the wound and the wound contour. If necessary, cover the UrgoClean Ag dressing with a suitable secondary dressing depending on the wound location and exudate level. Use a support bandage to prevent detachment. UrgoClean Ag dressings should be renewed every 1 to 2 days during the phase of major removal of devitalized tissue, and then with the required frequency (up to every 7 days) depending on the volume of the exudates and the clinical evolution of the wound. The maximum recommended duration of treatment with UrgoClean Ag is one month.
